Maslow Project is a resource center and outreach program for youth and families who are in need of help and resources, or who are facing homelessness.

Did you know?
1 out of 10 students enrolled in Medford Schools is considered homeless.
There are over 1400 homeless youth in Medford.
There are more than 20,000 homeless students enrolled in Oregon public schools.

Maslow Project is based on Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which states that basic needs must be met before higher goals can be achieved. Maslow Project provides assistance in meeting those basic needs, along with educational and leadership opportunities to reach higher goals.

We are helping the Maslow Project to acquire some much needed donations, by offer a fun filled event! Come and carve a pumpkin by bringing a donation for Maslow Project! There will also be some festive October themed sampling of the food, cider beer and wine. Fun for the whole family, and help for youth and families of Medford and the Rogue Valley.

It’s official we WILL be have a Pumpkin Carving contest via our Facebook page.
Everyone who brings a donation for the Maslow Project, will get a free Organic pumpkin to carve. To add to the fun we will photograph your pumpkin and enter it into our Facebook Pumpkin Carving contest. Votes (by “likes”) will begin on October 25 and run until 12 noon on November 2. We will have age categories of Under 10, 10-13, 14-18, Over 18 (Adult). More contest information available soon.

Also to add to the festiveness of this October Pumpkin Carving there will be sampling of Cheeses, Pie, Hot Spiced Cider, Beer and wine, as well as other tasty treats.

Contest Information: Your pumpkin will be photographed and entered into the contest via facebook. All photos will be posted anonymously. Voting (by “likes”) begins by October 25th and will continue until 12 noon on November 2nd. One winner with the most “likes” from each age catagory will be announced and notified by phone no later than November 2nd. We will also announce the winners by name on our facebook page.
Prizes: Will be a $10 In-Store Coupon good toward any purchase (excluding alcoholic beverages) at the Medford Food Co-op. (Valid until 12/31/2011)
