Cecily Gallagher

Cecily moved to Tempe, Arizona at the age of 18 from a town in the Midwest with close access to the beaches of Lake Michigan. She obtained an Associate Degree in Nursing from Mesa Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from OHSU through SOU after relocating to Ashland in 1979. Cecily moved to Medford in 1979 and worked at Rogue Regional Medical Center for most of her 43 year career in nursing. Cecily is now retired and blessed with a healthy husband, two sons and two beautiful grandchildren.

Through her experiences as a nurse and integration into the culture of Southern Oregon, Cecily immediately became interested in healthy lifestyle habits that went beyond her regular running, lap swimming, hiking, biking and skiing. Safe food and water are very important additions to healthy living and Cecily’s membership at MFC began at the inception of the idea. Cecily has been an owner since the beginning, and her entire family shops at the Co-op.

Cecily views serving on the Board of Directors as an opportunity to be part of something that has the potential to positively impact the health of people in our community and surrounding communities.
