We invite you to Meet Your Meat this month! Join us June 15th - June 21st for a week of daily samples from a selection of our responsibly raised meat vendors. If you are looking to replace quantity with quality, concerned about sustainability, or if you are a serious meat enthusiast, stop by with your questions and curiosity and we’ll be there with the answers and the meat!
We'll be featuring one meat tasting each day of the event, so be sure to stop in daily to taste the selections from our participating vendors. Vendors offering samples include: Smart Chicken, Little Sprouts Farm, Teton Waters Ranch, and more. Keep your eye on our calendar of events, where we'll be posting the tasting times prior to the event.
You can prepare to Meet Your Meat by reviewing some of our participating vendor information below:
Smart Chicken is dedicated to producing the safest, highest quality, and best tasting fresh chicken in the United States while exemplifying excellence in all aspects of customer service. All Smart Chicken products are raised without animal byproducts, antibiotics, or hormones, are 100% all-natural, and are processed using purified cold air instead of adding non-potable water — that’s The Air-Chilled Difference.
Little Sprouts Farm firmly believes that all animals, even those raised explicitly for human consumption, deserve a comfortable, safe, healthy, and natural life. At Little Sprouts Farm they are striving to raise the nutritional content of their food products to the greatest extent possible by following the lessons in nature and returning to what generations of farmers have known for thousands of years. Following nature and restoring balance creates food that is far superior in nutrition as well as taste and presentation. Little Sprouts will be sampling their pastured soy free meats - stop in and taste the difference!
Teton Waters didn’t mean to start a ranch. They set out to reclaim the land of an old potato farm on the quiet side of the Tetons. So they planted seeds, and when the fields were waving again with native grasses, they set cattle to graze, rebuilding the soil by eating the food they were meant to eat. That’s when they realized Teton Waters is more than just one lone ranch. It’s a way of life as old as the land, used by generations of enlightened ranchers raising grass-fed beef around the world. It’s good for us, better for animals, and good for the land. It’s the way things should be.
The Meet Your Meat event will run through Father's Day weekend, so find your father his favorite and cook him a nice meal, or bring him by the co-op for free samples!
