Jen Smith grew up in Ashland and has spent most of her life in the Rogue Valley. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree from Southern Oregon University. Jen has spent almost 30 years as a civil servant, working for several land management agencies as a fisheries biologist, a budget analyst, and most recently in a management position. Jen is passionate about the outdoors, enjoys hiking, camping, cross country skiing, and traveling. She is known for making excellent chocolate chip cookies, terrible bread, and loves yoga and reading good books.
Jen has been a Medford Food Co-op owner for many years prior to joining the board. She values the opportunity to contribute to MFC as a board member and believes people everywhere should have healthy, sustainable, and affordable organic food options in their communities.
