The Rogue Valley Food System Network (RVFSN) is working to create change and advocate for a more just and environmentally sustainable food system for all. RVFSN fosters connections to promote equitable food access, ecologically sound agricultural practices and economic vitality. They envision a visible, engaged, and vibrant food system in the Rogue Valley.
RVFSN is a collaboration of organizations, agencies, businesses, and individuals committed to working together to create a secure, sustainable and accessible food system to all. The Network serves as a conduit of resources and brings together stakeholders to unite community food and farming efforts, facilitate local action-oriented convenings and advocate for a more equitable and just food system in Josephine and Jackson counties.
Funds will be used to support the Rogue Valley Community Food Assessment that RVFSN has been leading this year. Specifically, funds may be used to compensate community members for their engagement in focus groups and interviews, pay for data analysis software, support the continuation of a RARE position, and/or expand the role of the Community Food Assessment Coordinator to continue building community working groups around the actions identified through the assessment process.
